In this episode, you’re going to hear an inspiring story of a woman who is proof that adversity cannot hinder a woman with unbridled passion to reach her goals.

Muffy Davis was a top ranking junior skier and was poised to be named to the US Ski Team when a devastating ski racing accident at the age of 16 left her paralyzed from the chest down and dependent on a wheelchair for mobility.

In spite of her life-changing injury, she didn't give up and set her sights on competing in the Paralympics - and she did! She is a world champion and multiple Paralympic medalist in downhill ski and the first female paraplegic to reach the summit of Mount Shasta. Ever pushing boundaries, Muffy now also serves as the representative for the Idaho Legislature and is a highly sought after motivational speaker.

Given that we're in the midst of a world pandemic, I'd like to remind you to practice good mask wear, social distancing when appropriate, and good hand hygiene. As a physician I'm constantly washing my hands and applying sanitizer when soap and water aren't available. I was thrilled to discover ESAS Beauty's Moisturizing Rinse-Free Hand Cleanser which exceeds the recommended percentage of ethyl alcohol for effectiveness but adds the amazing sense of organic essential oils, moisture retaining hyaluronic acid and anti aging benefits. I appreciate the support ESAS Beauty is providing to the 6% with Nancy MD podcast as a sponsor and for bringing a little olfactory joy to my day!
